If you love sipping local wine outside on a gorgeous spring day on the Central Coast, you’re in luck! Paso Robles has numerous wine events taking place in the coming weeks, at local businesses or the wineries themselves. As your Central Coast real estate agent, allow me to share so that you can plan out which you’d like to attend. These are a great way to support local wineries and the businesses that host these events!
1. Tomorrow, April 19, head to Thomas Hill Organics to celebrate The DAOU Legacy Continues. During this intimate dinner, you will hear from Lizzy Daou and her father, winemaker Daniel Daou, about her journey into winemaking with the mentorship of her father, and her first harvest in 2017. The eight-course dinner will be paired with six DAOU wines. From caviar to chocolate truffle, the menu looks amazing. Enjoy music by Matthew Kim and Donna Lu as you enjoy dinner.
2. Celebrate spring and al fresco eating at Le Vigne Winery on April 21. They will host a Paso Pizza Party on the Patio to celebrate warm spring weather and remodeled patio. Enjoy a personal Margherita or Prosciutto pizza with a gourmet salad and famous gelato, plus a glass of wine. You have four wines to choose from! Tickets cost $15 for La Famiglia members and $20 for nonmembers.
3. The annual Wild About Wine Stroll is coming up in Paso Robles on April 28th. This popular event highlights the wineries located in downtown Paso. This event is unique in that it combines local wine with wild zoo animals! Twenty wineries will be participating, and each winery will also have a different animal on site that you can meet and learn about. Take pictures with eagles, kangaroos, lemurs and more. Proceeds from the wine stroll benefit Conservation Ambassadors, a local organization dedicated to awareness and outreach for wildlife. Tickets cost $30 and event runs from 1 to 4 p.m. Children are free but must be accompanied by an adult.
4. Hospice Du Rhone Paso Robles is coming up April 26-28 at the Paso Robles Event Center! If you love Rhone wines, you’ll love this weekend, as it is all about local Rhone. Enjoy learning the history and then tasting 22 Rhone varieties. This is the largest Rhone wine event around! Sip wines while trying Rhone cuisine, attending seminars and chatting with Rhone winemakers. The weekend passes are already sold out, but you can purchase tickets for one day, just classes, just a meal, or just open tastings.
