California Wine Month may have officially ended, but here in Central California, every month is wine month! Our local vineyards and wineries continue to harvest their grapes and support our local economy. Wine events continue to take place, which is an excellent way to enjoy the beauty of Central California sights and weather, taste new wines, and meet new people.
Two more significant wine events are coming up this month. As your Central California real estate agent, I’m here to fill you in on the details of each.
Harvest Wine Weekend in Paso Robles
Harvest Wine Weekend takes place in Paso Robles Oct. 17 through Oct. 19. This is a chance to celebrate and honor our local winemakers, growers and tasting room staff for a year of hard work and dedication to their craft!
With more than 140 Paso Robles wineries hosting weekend activities, you are sure to find many that you will enjoy. These include harvest events, winemaker dinners, wine tasting, vineyard and winery tours, and more. There is not one large event, but rather many small events taking place all over Paso Robles.
Some highlights include wine and bacon pairings, ceremonial grape stomps, lobster feeds, wine desserts, blending sessions and more. Local wineries are really getting creative for this event! There is even an iPhone app that allows you to plot out your wine country trip and keep up with the schedule.
BubblyFest in Pismo Beach
BubblyFest By the Sea takes place in Pismo Beach Oct. 24 through Oct. 26, but tickets are selling fast! If you’d like to go to this first-ever event, you best buy your tickets soon, before they are sold out.
BubblyFest celebrates over 40 sparkling wine and champagne producers of the world, with the ocean as the backdrop. If you love sparkling wine, this event is for you. VIP tickets and Sunday Funday tickets are already sold out, but Grand Tasting tickets are still available for $65, and Bubblyfest Cocktail Mixer tickets are still available for $45.
The Bubblyfest Cocktail Mixer will take place under the stars at Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa in Pismo Beach on Friday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. Travel through time, back to the Gatsby era, as you sip bubbly cocktails, enjoy appetizers and dance the night away to Jazz by The Tipsy Gypsies. Themed dress is encouraged!
The Grand Tasting event takes place on Saturday, Oct. 25, from noon to 4 p.m. at SeaCrest Oceanfront Hotel. Here you can sample unlimited bubblies from over 40 Central Coast and International champagne and sparkling wine producers. With ticket purchase, you can also sample artisan cheeses, chocolates, breads, oysters and more, while enjoying beautiful ocean views. Hats and sunscreen are encouraged!
Also on Saturday, musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Mono Gil, and a photo booth will offer guests an opportunity to capture memories that will last a lifetime! Each ticketholder will receive a souvenir champagne flute as well.
