If you love Zinfandel, you are probably already familiar with Vintage Paso: Zinfandel Weekend! This annual Paso Robles wine event takes place in the spring as a three-day celebration. This year’s dates are March 15-17 at various Paso Robles locations. Because wineries host their own events, some sell out quickly. As your Central Coast real estate agent, I recommend checking out the list of events now and purchasing tickets to the ones that interest you most, as the weekend is less than a month away!
Here are a couple main events to know about:
Vintage Paso: Zinposium Seminar – This seminar takes place on March 15 from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at the Paso Robles Inn Ballroom and costs $40. Here, you can enjoy a unique Zin-focused seminar featuring a panel of winemakers tasting you through this heritage grape of Paso. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time! You can save $10 by booking the combo ticket, including the Z After Party.
Vintage Paso: Z After Party – This takes place after the Seminar, from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Paso Robles Inn Ballroom and costs $40 as well. Enjoy a special walk-around Zinfandel tasting among more than 20 Paso wineries, along with a selection of desserts and live jazz music by Darrell Voss. Tickets must be purchased ahead of time. Aside from these two events, there are over 100 events taking place at wineries in Paso Robles that weekend! Here’s a selection as examples:
The Austin Hope Wine Challenge at Austin Hope & Treana Tasting Cellar – All weekend, you can put your senses to the test while identifying wine aromas in this fun, interactive tasting experience.
SummerWood Winery Complimentary Pizza – Park Street Kitchen will be serving up wood-fired pizzas on Saturday and Sunday, which you can enjoy complimentary until they’re gone! They’ll also be releasing their very limited production of 2017 Zinfandel.
Winemaker Dinner with Vines on the Marycrest – This will take place at Park Street Grill on March 15 at 6:30 p.m. There will be passed Hors D’ouerves followed by a four-course meal, each paired with a wine from Vines on the Marycrest.
Cruise In for CruZin Zinfandel – Vino Vargas will have two for one tastings, and discounts on bottles and cases. Taste their newly released 2017 CruZin Zinfandel, along with other wines. They will also have complimentary Zinfandel infused appetizers!
