As your Central Coast real estate agent, I shared a list of SLO County events taking place this month in my last blog post. Today, I’d like to fill you in on the numerous events taking place in Monterey County during July. There is never a dull moment during the heart of summer, so take advantage and start filling your calendar with these fabulous community events!
1. Carmel Bach Festival is back from July 16 through July 30. Musicians from around the world perform during this event, which has been going on for 79 years, performing at venues such as Sunset Center, Carmel Mission Basilica, Church in the Forest and more.
2. California Rodeo Salinas is back from July 21-24 at the Salinas Sports Complex! Enjoy the largest rodeo in California while admiring more than 700 top-ranked professional cowboys and cowgirls competing for over $400,000 in prize money. There is also a parade, fireworks and more during the event.
3. Celebrate America at the Monterey Americana Festival! This takes place July 23 at the Monterey County Fair Grounds. Enjoy musical performances by Paul Thorn, Jim Lauderdale, The Americans and more. In between sets, enjoy the beer garden and several food, wine and gift vendors on site.
4. The Pacific Grove Feast of Lanterns is a century-old, community celebration. July 27-31, you can enjoy a lantern pageant, children’s activities, yoga, a pet parade and so much more. Local high school students will receive an academic scholarship when named to the “Royal Court.”
5. On July 31, Moss Landing will become the antique capital of the world from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the Moss Landing Annual Street Faire! More than 200 antique vendors will set up boots, selling every type of vintage item you can imagine. Stock up for your Central Coast home décor!
As you can see, you’ve got plenty of options for summertime fun in Monterey County this month, and in SLO County! Choose the events that sound most appealing to you and go have some fun.
