Are you wondering what fun summertime events are coming up in the SLO County area? The month of July is the heart of summer, and as your SLO County real estate agent, I can assure you that there are tons of events for you to look forward to. Here are a few to get you excited for the coming weeks.
1. Head to Charles Paddock Zoo on July 16 for an Ice Cream Zoofari! From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., enjoy lots of ice cream while admiring the zoo animals. Admission includes all-you-can-eat ice cream, sundaes, root beer floats, sugar-free treats and more. Adults cost $12, children cost $8 from ages three to 11, and under age two is free.
2. Travel back in time, to the year 1585 to be exact, when you attend the Central Coast Renaissance Festival at Laguna Lake Park in San Luis Obispo on July 16 and 17! Watch hilarious comedy acts on four stages, authentic Elizabethan dancing, plays, singing, a falconry show, magic, juggling and more. It’s fun for the whole family!
3. Sign you kids up for the Kids’ Adventure Camp at San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden. It runs from July 18 through July 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. This camp is ideal for kids in grades 2 through 5 who love adventure and exploring. They’ll hike, make art, cook, learn about animals, learn about the connection between plants and people, and much more.
4. The California Mid-State Fair is an annual event that locals and visitors look forward to! This year, it’ll run from July 20 through July 31 at the Paso Robles Event Center. Expect more details on our blog post as it gets nearer, but this year’s headliners include Fall Out Bay, Justin Moore and Joe Nichols, Fergie, Blake Shelton, Tim McGrow, Duran Duran and so many more.
