Harvest Wine Weekend is coming up this weekend in Paso Robles! Oct. 17 through Oct. 19, there will be more than 130 wineries hosting a variety of events and activity to celebrate this year’s harvest. As your Central California real estate agent, I can’t write about every single event or activity, because that would be a never-ending blog post! So instead, I’ll fill you in on some of the top events to know about, so you can better plan your weekend.
There is no ticket to this event. It is up to you to choose the winemaker dinners, barbecues, seminars, live music and other activities to partake in. Here is a list to get your started:
- Visit Adelaida Cellars on Saturday or Sunday to help them celebrate their 50th anniversary! They will be offering special selections of wine from their library, dating back to 2004, which guests can taste at the Decade Bar. Taste numerous varieties of Pinot while enjoying harvest paella from Chef Alex Martin and listening to local music favorite, Tennessee Jimmy.
- Visit Brochelle Vineyards on Saturday for Brochelle + Bacon! You can taste three bacon-inspired bites paired with their handcrafted wines. Live music will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. and you’ll receive $5 off when purchasing a bottle. Sunday, enjoy maple bacon bites from Templeton Donuts with your wine!
- Visit Broken Earth Winery for all sorts of fun, Friday through Sunday. The highlight will be on Saturday, when you can stomp in their barrel room grape stomp competition! Stomp to the music and compete to see who presses the most juice. There will also be live music, food specials and special wine pairings all weekend.
- Visit Cass Winery for a traditional pig roast dinner buffet on Friday! Little Creek Live will be there from 6 to 9 p.m., so bring your dancing boots to dance off some of that delicious buffet you’ll enjoy. On Sunday, stop by for Ted’s Taco Bar Finale! Enjoy all-you-can-eat tacos and a grape stomp for just $25 per person. This includes the cost of wine tasting!
- Visit Eberle Winery for cave tours happening every hour on the hour, all weekend long! Friday, sample food from local vendors and enjoy a farm-to-table harvest dinner. Saturday, sit on the patio and enjoy live music and grilled food bites. Sunday, savor gourmet grilled cheese with your favorite wine.
