Paso Robles, CA in the News!

Paso Robles Restaurants/Wineries

As your Central California real estate agent, I want to bring it to your attention that Paso Robles, CA has been in the news quite a bit lately! This quaint town has been featured for its “outstanding food scene for a small town” and its “winemaking potential uncorked.”

A SFGate writer reported that he just recently stopped in Paso Robles for the first time in two years and was blown away by the changes made in such a short time. The article said that especially for a town of fewer than 30,000, the changes have been very impressive.

The restaurants featured in the article included Artisan for its new modern space and its casual fare; Fish Gaucho for its happy hour, margaritas and food; La Cosecha for its casual take on Spanish and Latin American cuisine; Pony Club Bar for its décor, wine flights, live entertainment and dinner; Cass House for its historic, traditional dining room combined with its modern approach to food; and The Range for its hearty portions, local ingredients and wine list.

The food is really starting to turn heads, because Zagat also posted an article about the ultimate food weekend in Paso Robles! Their article focused on where to sip wine, eat meals and where to stay, if you don’t live here.

For restaurants, Zagat’s suggestions included Arisan, Il Cortile, La Cosecha, Villa Creek and Thomas Hill Organics.

Zagat suggested sipping wine on the Westside at Linne Calodo, Denner, Justin, Jada, L’Aventure, Adelaida, Tablas Creek, Lone Madrone and Halter Ranch. Eastside, they recommended Eberle, Robert Hall and Steinbeck.

They didn’t forget the beer drinkers in Central California! Zagat filled readers in on Firestone Walker Brewing Company and BarrelHouse Brewing Company.

For shopping, they wrote about the General Store, Firefly, Brown Butter Cookie Company and Studios on the Park. They also suggested olive and walnut oil tasting, among many other places to visit and stay.

As you can see, Paso Robles is really picking up publicity. Being named the wine region of the year caught everyone’s attention, and SFGate said, “Paso Robles is a wine region that’s ready to blossom.”
