Do you know how you’re celebrating New Year’s Eve on the Central Coast this weekend? Time is running out! As your Central Coast real estate agent, I already shared a list of events and activities taking place in Monterey County for NYE. Now, here is your list of events in SLO County for NYE! Choose the one that sounds best to you, and then make reservations or purchase tickets.
- Head to Madonna Inn for an all-inclusive gala with a prix fixe dinner, live music, dancing, party favors, midnight balloon drop and a champagne toast. For your entrée, you can choose prime rib, filet mignon, lobster, salmon and more. First seatings take place at 5 or 6 p.m., and then at 9 or 10 p.m.
- Head to the Christopher Cohan Center in SLO for a New Year’s Eve celebration in Oz! Orchestra Novo presents Oz with Orchestra on Dec. 31, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy restored images, a full orchestra, Judy Garland’s original 1939 studio recordings, new transcriptions of lost scores and more. At intermission, enjoy a Ruby Slippers Champagne Reception for an extra $15.
- Head to Foremost Wine Co. in SLO on NYE for a Prix Fixe Champagne Dinner. This will run from 5 p.m. to midnight. Enjoy a special four-course menu showcasing local seafood and champagnes, or stop in to enjoy something off the bar menu with your NYE drinks.
- Celebrate NYE at Novo Restaurant & Lounge in SLO from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Havana Nights at the Cigar Factory will take you back to pre-1950s Cuba. Dance to a live performance by the Zongo All-Stars and enjoy Cuban-inspired appetizers, cocktails and a champagne toast. DJs will be spinning dance music all night as well on two indoor dance floors.
- Head to Luna Red in SLO to celebrate New Year’s Eve with the Shawn Clark Family Band! Reserve a table for dinner and stay for the late night festivities, or show up after dinner for activities after 10 p.m. Tickets cost $15 ahead of time or $20 at the door. This includes a champagne toast at midnight.
- Can’t stay up until midnight anymore? Apple Farm Restaurant will host a New Year’s Eve Winemaker Dinner in conjunction with Glunz Family Cellars! Enjoy a dinner in the Harvest Room, beginning at 6 p.m., and end with a special New Year’s toast at 9 p.m.
- The Annual Fireman’s Ball begins Dec. 31 at 7 p.m. at Springhill Suites by Marriott in Atascadero. Semi-formal or black tie apparel is required. They will be serving heavy hours d’ oeuvres while you enjoy photos on the red carpet, DJs and dancing, and drinks until 2017 begins!
