This weekend is Memorial Day! Do you have plans on the Central Coast? If not, here’s a list of events taking place this weekend. As your Central Coast real estate agent, I highly recommend that you get out and enjoy one of these fun festivals during your three-day weekend. Dance to some tunes, indulge in some local food and beverages, or get out on your bike! You’ve got lots of options.
- Lightning in a Bottle is taking place now and throughout the weekend in Bradley! It runs from May 25 through Monday, May 30. It includes way too many activities to name, including a slew of live performers, a marketplace, art, a temple of consciousness, a village of micro-environments, sustainability practices, camping and tons more.
- The Great Western Bike Rally is this weekend in Paso Robles, Friday through Monday, May 27-30! Enjoy various bike rides for all skill levels, a cycling village, an artisan marketplace with expo, local food and drinks, live music, wine and beer tasting, exhibitions, and even camping if you’re interested!
- The 6th annual California Roots Festival will take place Friday through Sunday, May 27-29, at Monterey County Fairgrounds. This three-day fest is packed with live music, food, beverages, creative artwork and sustainable practices. Reggae acts from around the world culminate in Monterey County for this event.
- Cambria’s Sesquincentennial Heritage Day is Saturday, May 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cambria Historical Museum. Help celebrate the village’s 150th Anniversary with free admission to the museum and tons of fun activities. These include demonstrations, displays, activities, live music and more.
- If you’re a fan of The Beatles, don’t miss The Fab 8’s at Cambria Center for the Arts Theatre Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29. Tickets cost only $20! Saturday’s performance includes a happy hour that begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the show at 7:30 p.m. Sunday’s matinee is at 3 p.m.
- From Saturday through Monday, May 28-30, stop by Custom House Plaza for International May Fest Monterey! This free, family-friendly festival will feature international food, a variety of beers and nonstop entertainment, including music and dance. Shop among crafts and local fruit and flower booths.
- Paso Artsfest takes place Sunday, May 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Paso Robles Downtown City Park! Shop amongst some of the most talented artists in the U.S. and beyond at the Outdoor Fine Art Show & Sale. Then create art, bring the kids to the Kids Art Smart Zone, enjoy live music and so much more.
Enjoy your holiday weekend here on the Central Coast! If you’re not the festival type, head to Lake Nacimiento for some boating, swimming, fishing, hiking or picnicking. Or, head to a local beach, hiking trail or vineyard. You’ve got tons of options.
