One of the most beloved events of the year is coming up this weekend, Oct. 14-16, in Paso Robles Wine Country! As your Central Coast real estate agent, allow me to fill you in on what you should know when planning your weekend activities.
Harvest Wine Weekend is made up of events taking place at more than 140 wineries throughout the weekend. You can pick up a Harvest Wine Weekend Official Guide at any participating winery, or you can view the list of events on the Paso Wine website.
There is no official ticket for Harvest Wine Weekend. You choose the events you’d like to participate in, and you purchase tickets through the winery that the event is taking place at.
To help you plan, here is a miniscule selection of the events taking place this weekend:
- Adelaida Vineyards & Winery will have events throughout the weekend, but Saturday is their main event, where you can enjoy Harvest Paella made with locally grown ingredients and paired with wine, and you can listen and dance to Flamenco, Brazilian guitar music.
- Castoro Cellars has wine tasting for just $5 on Friday night, along with complimentary grape juice for kids and treats for dogs. On Saturday and Sunday, kick off your shoes and participate in grape stomping, which was the old-fashioned way of making wines! Taste grapes, taste wines, enjoy music and more.
- Derby Wine Estates has wine tours available both days. Saturday is free, and they will also be offering complimentary BBQ from the Derby Smokehouse, wine by the glass and great bottle specials. Sunday is a more defined tour, with lunch, tank and barrel tastings and more.
- Eberle Winery is hosting a Winemaker Dinner in the Caves on Friday night! The rest of the weekend, enjoy special sales, new releases, complimentary tastings and cave tours, live music, complimentary BBQ bites and more. Military and police will receive a 40 percent discount on their purchases.
- GreMarK Vineyards is possibly the smallest winery in the county, and they are only open three times a year to the public. Harvest Wine Weekend is one of them! Stop by all weekend to sample handcrafted wines with intense fruit and low tannins. They have all sorts of varieties to try, and discounts.
- JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery is hosting a special wine-paired dinner Friday and Saturday night. Dinner is prepared by Executive Chef Wil Torres and the culinary team at The Restaurant at JUSTIN. Enjoy a 30-minute welcome reception with appetizers and a four-course dinner served with JUSTIN wines.
