Enjoy SLO CAL Restaurant Month This January

Restaurant Month in SLO County

If you need a break from cooking, check out SLO CAL Restaurant Month in San Luis Obispo County! This runs all of January. This is great for anyone who recently relocated to the Central Coast and would like to get to know the restaurant scene, or for anyone who would like to branch out and try some new restaurants in the area.

Rather than a week, SLO County offers you dining deals all month long. As your Central Coast real estate agent, allow me to fill you in on the details and options!

How it works is participating restaurants offer prix-fixe menus of three courses for $30-$40 per person. This allows you to try new menu items or new restaurants for less than you’d otherwise spend on a three-course meal. It’s best to make reservations ahead of time, as restaurants are typically busier during Restaurant Month.

Here’s an example of some of the deals you’ll find:

1.  60 State Park Restaurant & Lounge in Morro Bay will offer three courses for $40 while you overlook the bay. Menu options include clam chowder, bacon crusted halibut, herb roasted chicken and more.

2.  Blue Moon over Avila in Avila Beach is offering three courses for $35 on Sundays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Options include dinner salad or onion soup, linguine and clams, chocolate raspberry mousse and more.

3.  Café Roma in San Luis Obispo is offering three courses for $40 Monday through Saturday. Options include eggplant terrine, bone in short ribs, pacific cod, tiramisu, homemade gelato and more.

4.  Fish Gaucho in Paso Robles is offering three courses for $30. Menu options include oak-fire grilled sweet corn, grilled oysters, sashimi scallop tostada and more.

5.  Libertine Brewing Company is offering three courses for $30 in downtown San Luis Obispo. Menu options include fried artichokes, avocado caprese, crispy cod tacos, strawberry cheesecake and more.

6.  Marston’s 101 in Atascadero is offering three courses for $30 Sunday through Thursday. Menu options include pub pretzel, spinach and artichoke dip, pasta carbonara, flat iron steak, chocolate s’mores cake and more.

7.  Pismo Fish & Chips in Pismo Beach is offering three courses for only $25 Tuesday through Sunday. Options include soup, salad or coleslaw, fish and chips or shrimp tacos, and deep fried cheesecake or lava cake.

8.  Thomas Hill Organics in Paso Robles is offering three courses for $40 everyday but Martin Luther King weekend, Jan. 18-19. Options include warm beet and goat cheese salad, pumpkin cannelloni, coconut bread pudding and more.

9.  Niner West Estates in Paso Robles is offering three courses for $40 Thursdays through Sundays, which includes wine pairings! Menu includes jambalaya risotto, fried chicken and waffles, and beignets with brandy caramel sauce.

Check out the full list of participating restaurants on the SLO CAL Restaurant Month website. Some menus aren’t available, so call ahead and see what is being served before deciding where to go!
