Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Monterey County

Monterey County Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day in Monterey County

In my last blog post, I shared how and where to celebrate Valentine’s Day in SLO County. Today, as your Central Coast real estate agent, I will share how and where to celebrate the romantic holiday in Monterey County! Pull out your calendar, call up your partner or friends, and choose how you will celebrate the holiday from the many options available.

  • Celebrate Valentine’s Day early at Cibo Ristorante Italiano on Feb. 9! Blush is an elegant evening with all things rose. From fuchsia décor and pink wardrobes highly encouraged, to pink cocktails, you will be swept into a pink dream while drinking and eating with family, friends or your partner. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and costs $30 ahead of time.
  • On Feb. 11, you and your partner can purchase a River Road Wine Trail Valentine’s Day Passport and be swept away into wine country, where all your cares will be forgotten. That is the plan, anyway! You’ll taste your way around eight wineries in Salinas Valley. Tickets cost $50 and include a souvenir glass, entry into a grand drawing, special discounts, food and more.
  • On Feb. 17, you can celebrate Valentine’s Day a couple days late, but better late than never! That is especially true when it involves a Chocolate & Wine Tasting Benefit at the City of Monterey Library. From 7 to 9 p.m., you can indulge in a variety of local wines, Prosecco and Ports, along with sugary treats of all sorts. Tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the door.

On Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, numerous Monterey County restaurants will be offering dinner specials. This includes:

  • The Cork & Plough will offer their regular menu and a special three-course prix fixe menu, including items like pear crab cakes, filet mignon, spicy shrimp and more, along with $4 Roseum Rosé all day! Cost is $50 per person.
  • Jacks Restaurant, serving a four-course menu with a glass of champagne and dessert. Entrée options include filet mignon, pan roasted salmon and more. Cost is $64.95 per person.
  • Sardine Factor, serving a four-course prix fixe menu, with items such as filet mignon, lobster ravioli and salmon. Cost is $75 per person.
  • Schooners Coastal Kitchen & Bar, serving a three-course prix fixe menu, with optional wine pairings. Menu items are inspired by the season. Cost is $75 per person, or $115 with wine pairings.
  • Pacific’s Edge Restaurant, serving a four-course menu with options such as pan roasted duck breast, Chilean sea bass and more. Cost is $125 per person.

Enjoy your Valentine’s Day with the person or people you love. Whether you spend in SLO County or Monterey County, I hope you enjoy your romantic holiday on the Central Coast!
