St. Patrick’s Day is coming up next week, which is the day that everyone is Irish in Central California. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate with Irish food, drinks, music or entertainment, you’ve come to the right place. As your Central California real estate agent, I’d like to share with you where you can celebrate in Monterey County and SLO County!

  • Broken Earth Winery in Paso Robles is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day early, on March 15! Head there between 1 and 4 p.m. for live music be Gillie Wheesels. For only $12, you can enjoy either a Guinness corned beef and cabbage panini or beer braised beef stew with potato bread. Each includes a side and a dessert!
  • Peter B’s Brewpub will be celebrating on March 17 with corned beef, red potatoes and braised cabbage for $14.95. Happy Hour will take place from 4 to 6:30 p.m., with 16-ounce beers for $4, 25-ounce beers for $6, and fried pickles, sweet potato fries and crisply cheese curds as appetizers.
  • At Crema in Pacific Grove, you can taste your way through Ireland on March 17 with a corned beef cheesy Reuben sandwich for lunch, Guinness floats with vanilla, coffee or chocolate ice cream from Kai Lee Creamery, and green scones!
  • Baum and Blume will serve up your typical traditional St. Patrick’s Day feast with corned beef and all the trimmings! They’ll have beer specials, appetizers like Dubliner Beer Cheese and Devil-May-Kerry Eggs, starters, entrees, desserts, and “The Works.” This includes cauliflower soup, soda bread, corned beef with red wine mustard, mashed potatoes, braised cabbage and minted angel food cake! Cost is $25.95 per person.
  • Cima Collina in Carmel Valley will host a free wine tasting from noon to 5 p.m. on St. Patrick’s Day. All you have to do is show up wearing your favorite shade of green to receive this special offer! Also, if you purchase $50 or more in wine, you could receive a surprise gift with your purchase. You can also order a picnic lunch to go with your wine tasting. Enjoy it in their wine garden.
  • Visit Madonna Inn on March 17 for their corned beef and cabbage special for $15.95 and Guinness beer for $4, Irish coffee for $4 or a special Irish Kiss martini for $7. Be sure to wear green and get festive.
