September is almost half over, which means so is California Wine Month! Have you taken advantage of the wine events happening all over SLO County this month? As your Central California real estate agent, I am here to tell you that there are still plenty of events and activities taking place to celebrate the beginning of harvest!
Visit SLO County put together a list of events at the beginning of the month, and there are still plenty to enjoy before September ends. Here’s a selection of them:
1. All month long, you can enjoy the Erin Hanson Art and Wine Tour at 15 local Paso Robles wineries! Each winery is displaying original Erin Hanson oil paintings. Go visit just a few, or visit them all. Participating wineries include Vina Robles, Cass Winery, Shale Oak Winery and many more.
2. Sept. 18, head to JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery in Paso Robles for dinner and wine! Begin the night with wine tastings, followed by a classic 1960’s New York style, two course wine paired menu and gourmet snacks. Then, sit back and enjoy a showing of Dirty Dancing. There’s costume contest, too!
3. Sept. 18, enjoy free live music at a local winery while sipping on wines and enjoying the gorgeous views! Live music from Truth About Seafood will take place at Pomar Junction from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Jill Knight Band will perform at Claiborne & Churchill Winery from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
4. Sept. 20, you can enjoy live afternoon music at Lone Madrone while eating a lamb, beef or Portobello burger from noon to 3 p.m. You can also sip on wine and cider, and enjoy a game of cornhole.
5. Sept. 25, enjoy Apple Farm’s Backyard Winemaker Dinner on the heated garden patio. It’ll include four courses of farm-to-table cuisine paired with wines from Eberle Winery. You’ll also learn a thing or two about wine and hear live acoustic music in a beautiful setting.
6. Sept. 27, head to Castoro Cellars for an End of Summer Celebration! Resination will be performing reggae vibes from 1 to 4 p.m. Sit back in a chair or on a blanket, and enjoy while sipping wines and eating lunch. A vendor will be available, or you can pack a picnic.
Aside from the events listed here, you also have Beaverstock and SAVOR the Central Coast to look forward to! Plenty of Adventure Tours and special events take place during SAVOR as well, apart from the main event. You’ve got lots of options.
