Best Wineries to Visit in Paso Robles

Paso Robles Wineries
Best Paso Robles Wineries

If you recently relocated to the Central Coast region, you might be indecisive on which Paso Robles wineries to visit first. Or, perhaps you’ve been here for a while, but you have visitors coming soon, and you want to take them to the best wineries. With over 200 wineries in the region, how do you choose? It can feel overwhelming.

Everyone’s opinions differ on which area wineries are the best, but California Winery Advisor just recently shared their top 10 picks for wineries to visit in Paso Robles. As your Central Coast real estate agent, I’ve summed up their choices here. See if you agree with their list:

Eberle Winery – This winery has easy access from the highway, but you’ll feel like you’re deep in wine country, with beautiful grounds and a wine cave to admire. Play bocce ball while sipping wine on the expansive deck.

L’Aventurine Winery – A former barley farm was transformed into one of the most beautiful vineyards in Paso Robles. Still with a barn as the centerpiece, a newly constructed tasting room, wine cave and office balance the property with a nice modern flair. Try some uniquely blended wines.

Justin – Outside of the Central Coast region, Justin Vineyards might be the most well-known Paso Robles winery, thanks to their Isosceles, which was named sixth best wine in the world. Enjoy a beautiful tasting room, restaurant and inn right on site.

Lohr – This is one of the largest wine producers in the state, but they are still a family-owned business with sustainability and eco-friendly practices. Some of their best wines are only available at their Paso Robles tasting room. It’s a dog-friendly winery, so bring the whole family.

Jada Vineyard and Winery – The tasting room is sleek and beautiful, and it complements the view of the rolling green hills of Paso. Enjoy sipping bold red wines, and pair them with cheese to elevate your tasting. This vineyard is in the process of converting to biodynamic growing practices.

Sculpterra Winery and Garden – This winery gets its names from the array of unique sculptures that fill the grounds of this winery and tasting room. Sip wines in the tasting room and then stroll through the beautiful garden to admire the sculptures or to enjoy a live event.

Le Cuvier – This is one relaxing atmosphere, where you can pull up an Adironback chair and admire the rolling hills of Paso Robles. The quality of wine here is top-notch, the staff is friendly and the location is beautiful. Savor small snacks as you taste the wines.

Tobin James – This winery truly captures the old west feel of Paso Robles, with a winery built from the ground up on the location of an old stage coach stop. You’ll feel like you’re sipping wines inside an old saloon! Tastings are free and the “James Gang” wine club is said to be the largest in the world.

Adelaida Cellars – Here you can check out the impressive new tasting room and sweeping views of Paso Robles while sipping on amazing wine. They are known for consistently producing wines that show the best of the region. Check out their Tour Taste and Tailgate package for $50 per guest.

Halter Ranch – They too have a new, state-of-the-art tasting room for you to check out, but the vineyard itself resides on a historic property that you cross a covered bridge to get to. They have a variety of tasting and tour options, including a complimentary tour of the caves and grounds!
