Best Paso Robles Wineries to Visit

If you’ve got holiday guests staying with you this month on the Central Coast of California, chances are, they’re going to want to visit a winery or two. After all, this region is known for them! Luckily, Food & Wine Magazine shared a list of the wineries in Paso Robles that they think are the best to visit. All you have to do is take their word for it, and choose a couple to bring your guests to.

As your Central Coast real estate agent, I am going to make it even easier for you by sharing some of their Paso Robles winery picks here:

  • Adelaida Cellars – This family-owned winery was established in 1981 and sits at an altitude of 1,400-2,000 feet. Here, you can enjoy Rhone wines, Pinot Noir, Cabernet and more while appreciating the amazing views.
  • Broken Earth Winery – This property encompasses 520 acres of vines! Taste an array of flights in the tasting room. If you bring a bottle home, the staff will help you create a custom label. Enjoy Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
  • Daou Vineyards & Winery – The French brothers who run this winery are leaders in the Paso AVA with flagship reds like Patrimony and Soul of a Lion. Expect to pay triple digits for these! They also have less expensive wines to choose from as you enjoy views for the “Tasting Room in the Sky.”
  • Eberle Winery – Gary Eberle worked for his family winery in the 1970’s and then opened this winery in 1984. The family-owned winery is known for their Zins, but also whites like Viognier and Rhone blend Cotes du Robles Blanc. Enjoy wines outside on the patio or inside a wine cave, where tours take place.
  • Epoch Estate Wines – This winery is a work in progress, as a geologist couple revitalized the historic wine estate in 2004. The 350-acre winery began in 1882! The tasting room is currently in a fancy trailer, so go appreciate the Rhone-style red blends and the gorgeous, historic mountain site.
  • Field Recordings – This is a great place to bring guests with all different tastes in wine. The tasting room is conveniently located downtown Paso Robles. The owner plants and sells vines to vineyards across the Central Coast, and his tasting room is full of personal vineyard finds. He even has wine in cans.
  • Halter Ranch Vineyards – This historic wine property dates back to the 1870’s, as you can still see form the Victorian farmhouse and outbuildings on this 900 acres of land. However, this impressive winery also includes a brand-new tasting room, Land Rover excursions and Bordeaux and Rhone-style wines.

These are just some of the wineries in Paso Robles that Food & Wine Magazine recommends. As your Central Coast real estate agent, I will continue with this list in my next blog post. You’ve got plenty of incredible wineries to visit with your holiday guests, and plenty of factual tidbits to share with them!
