Events in Central California

As your Central California real estate agent, I always enjoy updating you on the latest news and event information for the Central California region. We live in such a wonderful, beautiful place, where there is always so much to do!

If you buy a Lake Nacimiento home and are looking to meet people in the area, there is never a shortage of events and activities that make that possible. If you’re still considering whether you want to relocate here or not, there is also never a shortage of news articles that feature this area!

The latest news article to feature the Central California region was an article from Epoch Times about the top things to do in California. On this list was wine tasting in Paso Robles, because Paso offers high quality wines without the touristy and heavily commercialized feel, and visiting Pismo Beach, which is in close proximity to Paso Robles and has everything that a beach town could offer.

When you’re looking for something to do, here are three upcoming events to mark in your calendar:

1.  Paws on a Path is coming up this weekend at Lake Nacimiento! On Saturday, Jan. 24, bring your dogs to the lake and enjoy a 5K walk for people and pets in and around Lake Nacimiento Resort and the campgrounds. Cost is $25 to participate and this benefits the Humane Society of San Luis Obispo. Participants will receive an event pet bandana and could win prizes! You can register ahead of time or on site at the Ranger Station, beginning at 9 a.m. Walk begins at 10 a.m.

2.  SLO Bacon Week is coming up in SLO County! Jan. 25 through Jan. 31, you can visit the SLO Bacon Fest participants to feed your bacon cravings and to be entered to win prizes. One prize includes tickets to SLO Bacon Fest. Also, if you bring your SLO Bacon Fest pint glass into Spike’s Pub, you’ll receive $3 select drafts on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. At the SLO Farmer’s Market on Thursday, you can enter to win a one-year supply of bacon!

3.  Downtown Paso Robles Main Street Association will host a Valentine Movie Night on Sunday, Feb. 15, at Park Cinemas. This year’s movie is “Moonstruck,” a 1987 classic. This will play at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $12 and include popcorn and soda, or champagne and chocolates. While this event is still a ways away, tickets sell out, so buy yours soon!

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to buy a Lake Nacimiento home, so you can call Central California home. When ready to achieve your real estate goals in the Central California real estate market, contact me, your Lake Nacimiento real estate agent!
