Here in Central California, we are blessed with good weather for the majority of the year. While temperatures do drop in the winter, there are still plenty of good-weathered days to head outdoors and into nature. And here in Central California, we’ve got tons of nature for you to surround yourself with!

As your Central California real estate agent, I’ve put together a list of activities you can enjoy here in Central California year-round.

Hiking

Hiking is a great activity in all seasons, because no matter what the temperature is, you can always just add or remove layers. There are so many hiking trails to choose from in Central California, it’d be impossible to name them all.

Horseback Riding

If you’d rather sit back and enjoy Central California’s scenic trails, consider going for a horseback riding trip instead. Madonna Inn Trail Rides in San Luis Obispo offers trail riding on gentle and friendly horses, suitable for anyone. You could do a simple one-hour ride for scenic views, or you could do a ride and taste package that includes wine and cheese tasting!

Hot Mineral Springs

What better time to crawl into a hot mineral springs than in the cooler months here in Central California? These naturally occurring hot springs offer health benefits and relaxation. Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort & Spa in Avila Beach offers hillside tubs for anyone to rent by the hour. You could also combine your soak with a massage at their spa.

Go all out and stay overnight! Make a staycation out of it. The rooms at Sycamore Springs include private mineral springs soaking tubs. Paso Robles Inn also offers hot mineral springs tubs with their rooms and is conveniently located so you can enjoy all that Paso Robles has to offer.

Golf

Fall and winter are excellent seasons for golfing in Central California! The courses aren’t as crowded, and the weather is perfect. Hunter Ranch Golf Course in Paso Robles is a pristine, world-class course with small-town charm. It’s a hidden gem, but Golf Digest rated it with four and a half stars out of five. The wine country scenery is fantastic! Avila Beach Golf Resort is another popular golf destination in the area, with gorgeous views of the ocean, beach and pier.
