Did you just move to Monterey County and want to show it off to everyone you know? Have you lived here awhile and are now trying to talk a friend or family member into relocating to the Central Coast? Do you have relatives buried in snow that you’d like to show off your winters to? No matter what the reason is, Monterey County, with all its beauty, is exceptionally easy to photograph!

As your Central Coast real estate agent, allow me to fill you in on the best places to snap photos, according to See Monterey. Post these photos on Facebook, Instagram, etc. and you’ll have people visiting or moving here in no time.

Bixby Bridge – Bixby Bridge is the most famous bridge in the Central Coast region. It is located right along Highway 1 in Big Sur and is one of the most seen images of this region. However, a local photographer recommends taking Old Coast Road down a bit to get a dramatic look back at the bridge.

The Lone Cypress – This happens to be the most photographed tree in the world, as it grows tall and strong right at the edge of a cliff, with crashing waves below it. The local photographer recommends taking your photo as the sun is setting, so the tree is back-lit.

Fisherman’s WharfMonterey County is known for Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey, especially among tourists. It’s full of shops, restaurants, whale watching tours and more. Take photos during the day for busy crowd shots, or take them at 7 a.m., while it’s empty and mysterious.

Carmel Mission – All of the Missions in the area are photo-worthy! Visiting these feels like traveling through time, walking through the building and the gardens. Visit San Carlos Borromeo de Carmel Mission and take a photo from the right, which will get the Carmel Mountains the background.

High Peaks, Pinnacles National Park – All of Pinnacles National Park is worth seeing and photographing, with jagged rock, an abundance of wildlife and amazing views. High Peaks is a great hike, and your photos will include sweeping views with unique rock formations.

Other suggestions from See Monterey include the Drifters Gallery at Monterey Bay Aquarium, sea lions in Moss Landing, McWay Falls at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park, Point Pinos Lighthouse in Pacific Grove, and Whaler’s Cove in Point Lobos.  Learn more details and where and how to take your photos by reading the article.
