St. Patrick’s Day on Central Coast

St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow on the Central Coast! Whether you’re Irish or not, this holiday is an excellent excuse to get out and enjoy some delicious Irish food and beverages while socializing with your friends or family. As your Central Coast real estate agent, allow me to fill you in on where to celebrate in San Luis Obispo County and Monterey County this week.

  • Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo will offer Corned Beef and Cabbage, Guinness and Onion Soup, and Corned Beef Sliders for St. Patrick’s Day, along with a very green Irish Kiss Martini! Make reservations at the Copper Café & Silver Bar to celebrate the holiday on March 17.
  • Head to Robin’s Restaurant in Cambria for a special St. Patrick’s Day menu for March 17! For lunch, you can enjoy an open-faced Reuben with corned beef brisket, along with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing on artisanal rye bread. For dinner, enjoy braised corned beef brisket with Irish cheddar creamed potatoes, braised red cabbage, stout mustard and butter poached carrots. Live music will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Make reservations!
  • Head to McCarthy’s Irish Pub in downtown San Luis Obispo, which is what many locals would call the place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. They have events taking place all week long. Celebrate Dublin St. Patrick’s Day tonight, starting at 5 p.m. with happy hour specials. Thursday, enjoy all of the Irish food and drinks you can handle with a group of the holiday’s biggest local fans. Friday, the celebration will continue.
  • Hotel 1110 is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Monterey County with a St. Patrick’s Day Rooftop Party! Head to their rooftop bar, beginning at 4 p.m., for themed drink specials, an Irish themed menu and prizes for the best dressed. So, wear green, enjoy corned beef hash sliders, and toast to the holiday with other St. Patrick’s Day enthusiasts.
  • Visit Baum & Blume at The Carriage House in Carmel Valley for their St. Patrick’s Day Feast! Stop in anytime between noon and 8 p.m. for cauliflower soup, whole wheat soda bread, corned beef round with homemade red wine mustard, champ and cabbage, cold beer and lots of other culinary delights.
  • The rolling hills of SLO County almost make you feel like you’re in Ireland. Hike the Irish Hills southwest of San Luis Obispo tomorrow or this weekend in honor of St. Patrick’s Day! The Irish Hills have numerous trails to choose from for hiking and searching for a four-leaf clover. Bring a picnic lunch of Reuben sandwiches or Irish cheese to complete the celebration.

Enjoy your St. Patrick’s Day on the Central Coast this week! As always, contact me, your Central Coast real estate agent, for help achieving your Central Coast real estate market goals.
