All year long, the wineries in Paso Robles host events at their vineyards or tasting rooms. Summer is no exception! It’s the perfect season for sipping wines while enjoying delicious food pairings or listening to live music. To help you plan, as your Central California real estate agent, I’ve put together a list of upcoming events and activities taking place at numerous Paso Roble wineries. Mark your calendar and attend the ones that sound most interesting to you!
- Head to Asuncion Ridge Vineyards Friday, July 24, to get your weekend started with live music from 5 to 8 p.m. Steve Tracy will be in concert. He is a world-renowned artist who sings and plays guitar, slide and harmonica. It’s free to attend!
- If you need to unwind with some quiet time, head to J&J Cellars Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. You can munch on pizza slices and sip wine as you unwind and watch the fire in their outdoor fireplace. Pizza slices and nachos each cost $1 and glasses of wine cost $5.
- For good music and food, head to Derby Wine Estates Friday from 5:30 to 9 p.m. for live music from local musicians, wine by the glass discounts, and traditional style BBQ by Derby Smokehouse. The concert is free, but bring some money for food and wine.
- On Saturday, July 25, start your morning at Harmony Cellars at 11 a.m. for Yoga in Harmony! Arrive 10 minutes early, dress in layers and bring a mat. Price is $15 and includes a coupon for a glass of wine. Stretch, strengthen and then unwind with wine and beautiful scenery!
- Visit Opolo Vineyards on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. for the Opolo Blending Party! In the barrel room, you can taste, mix and create what you deem to be the perfect blend of wine. Cost is $100 for members or $115 for non-members.
- Stop by Calcareous Vineyards on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. for their Calcareous Summer Concert Series! This week will feature Brad Wilson Band. You can enjoy wine by the glass or bottle, along with gourmet wood-fired pizza. Cost is $15 or $10 for club members.
- Visit August Ridge Vineyards this Saturday, and every fourth Saturday of the month during summer, for Sip Swirlin’ Saturday! You can sit back and relax with lunch and wine for only $10 per person. While eating and sipping, enjoy live music and local vendors.
- On Sunday, July 26, finish the weekend off at Cass Winery from 1 to 3 p.m. Katie Bay, Certified Specialist of Wine & Level 1 Sommelier, will share her passion through a stimulating, interactive seminar. Tickets cost $25 per person, or $20 for wine club members.
