Mother’s Day is this weekend on the Central Coast! Have you planned a special day for your mom yet? As your Central Coast real estate agent, allow me to fill you in on some of the fun events and activities taking place this weekend. First I’ll share what’s happening around SLO County, and in a couple days I’ll share what’s going on in Monterey County! You’ve got lots of options.

Here’s a lineup of what’s taking place for Mother’s Day this weekend in SLO County:

• Visit the SLO County Farmer’s Market this Thursday, May 5 for a Mother’s Day Flower Giveaway! It’s free to attend, as always, and moms will receive a free flower from Euphoria Flowers when visiting between 6 and 8:30 p.m. Find mom a special gift at the market, too!

• Celebrate mom’s special day on Friday at the Mother’s Day Brunch Cooking Class! Head to the SLO Botanical Garden at 11 a.m. to learn how to spruce up your brunch menu with tasty treats. Cost is $15 for garden members and $20 for everyone else.

• If your mom would appreciate a day at the spa, you can book her a session anytime from now through May 8 at the Madonna Inn Spa. She will get to enjoy complimentary chocolates and champagne in the spa, and she could save on designer jeans at the Boutique, along with receive gifts with purchase.

• If mom goes for a traditional Mother’s Day brunch, take her to the Champagne Brunch at Madonna Inn this Sunday! It takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and price is $35.95 per person. It’ll include champagne, of course, along with crab legs, jump shrimp, ham and turkey, an omelet station and so much more.

• Head to the Mother’s Day Art & Wine Bar at Vina Robles Winery on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets cost $45 for wine club members and $55 for everyone else. This unique combination includes a painting class and a wine party. Create “Sunflowers” on canvas while sipping wine.

• If you think mom would enjoy a laugh, bring her to the Mother’s Day Comedy Show at the SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel on Sunday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 and will include all sorts of professional performers in the ever-growing standup comedy scene here on the Central Coast.
