‘Tis the season to be jolly! The Christmas spirit is spreading around the Central Coast as a never-ending line of holiday events begins to flow from now until Christmas. As your Central Coast real estate agent, I’m here to fill you in on the fun in and around SLO County, so you don’t miss a minute of it! Gather your family or friends and head to the events that sound most fun to you from this list.

1.  Atascadero’s Annual “Light Up the Downtown” Holiday Celebration takes place this Friday, Nov. 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. The lighting will take place at Historic City Hall. Kids can visit with Santa and enjoy hot chocolate. This runs in conjunction with the Art & Wine event, which is $20 for adults and includes a wine glass and wine tastings among downtown merchants.

2.  Morro Bay has quite the lineup of events this weekend as part of their Winterfest! Friday night, reserve a table at a waterfront restaurant and watch the Lighted Boat Parade Preview. Saturday is the official Lighted Boat Parade, as boats float by covered with lights. Sit anywhere along the water and enjoy live music and treats. Sunday is the Non-Motorized Lighted Boat Parade, complete with kayaks, SUPs and more. Santa’s House is open nightly from 6 to 8 p.m. at Chess Board. Pictures are free!

3.  SLO’s Repertory Theatre is hosting ‘A Christmas Story’ from Nov. 30 through Dec. 23, Wednesdays through Sundays. This is an annual tradition and is back for its fifth year! It is based on the 1983 motion picture and is family-friendly. It sells out every year, so grab tickets early!

4.  The 52nd Annual South County Holiday Parade will take place in Grover Beach this Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. It’s free to attend, but bring one new, unwrapped toy to be donated to local charities. The parade begins at 16th Street, travels west down West Grand Avenue to 9th Street, and finishes at the Ramona Garden Park Center. This year’s theme is Gingerbread Dreams.

5.  The Paso Robles Christmas Light Parade is also this Saturday, in Downtown Paso, beginning at 7 p.m. It’s free to attend. The theme this year is “Cowboy Christmas.” Enjoy lighted floats from local businesses. A variety of awards are given for best in show! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be participating as well.

6.  Harmony Cellars is hosting a Holiday Winemaker Dinner this Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m. Tickets cost $145 for club members and $160 for nonmembers. Enjoy a five-course meal served in the redwood winery and paired with award-winning wines. Reservations are required.
