Fall Activities at Lake Nacimiento!

Lake Nacimiento Real Estate
Lake Nacimiento Fall Activities

Visiting crowds slow down as summer transitions into fall, which makes this time of year an ideal time to visit Lake Nacimiento and to buy a home on Lake Nacimiento. Local residents can swing by the lake any time of day and enjoy a quieter, more relaxing and private adventure at the lake.

As your Lake Nacimiento real estate agent, I want to fill you in on some of the best activities to enjoy at Lake Nacimiento during the fall season.

Fishing at Lake Nacimiento

As temperatures start to cool off at the lake, fall becomes the best season for fishing! In the summertime, fish mostly only bite early in the morning or after dusk. But as temperatures cool, more fish will begin biting throughout the day.

In the latest Lake Nacimiento fishing report, Spotted Bass continue to be the most caught fish at the lake, followed by White Bass. Black Bass have been more elusive, but a few large ones were caught over the summer, including a 12-pound record breaker!

The best place to catch has been at the mouth of Las Tablas cove. White Bass boils have been spotted near the marina and between Snake and Dip Creek coves, as well as Las Tablas cove. Small lures are your best bet, specifically shad colored swim baits, and white or chartreuse Roostertails.

Hiking at Lake Nacimiento

The temperatures at the lake are all over the place this time of year. From low 90’s during the day, to mid-50’s after sunset, there is a great time of day for hiking, swimming, fishing, boating and everything else that you love to do at the lake.  Fall is especially beautiful for hiking at Lake Nacimiento. It has over 100 miles of designated trails through pine and oak groves, or along the lake’s 165 miles of shoreline!

Go for an early morning hike as you watch the sun come up. When you start to heat up, jump on your boat or into the water for a quick swim! On the contrary, you could take a walk around the lake in the evening, and then enjoy a picnic while watching the sunset go down as temperatures cool off.

Staycation at Lake Nacimiento

Even if you live on or near Lake Nacimiento, that doesn’t mean you can’t take a staycation! Spend a weekend camping at the lake. Leave your electronics at home and spend a night “roughing it” with dinner over the campfire, sleep in a tent, and plenty of fresh air.

If sleeping in a bed is more your style, take advantage of the two for one deal being offered at Lake Nacimiento Resort right now! Through this Thursday, Oct. 9, you can stay for one night at the resort and get a second night free.

Enjoy the fall season at Lake Nacimiento. When you’re ready to buy a Lake Nacimiento home, or to sell your Lake Nacimiento home, contact me, your Lake Nacimiento real estate agent! I’d love to help you out!
