Halloween Events in SLO County

In my last blog post, I shared where to celebrate Halloween in Monterey County. Today, let’s talk about where you can celebrate Halloween in SLO County in the coming weeks! Plan your family’s costumes and mark these events in your calendar. As a SLO County real estate agent, I’d hate to see you miss out on any of the holiday fun because you learned about an event too late! That’s what my blog is here for.

  • Celebrate Halloween a few days early at Ramona Garden Park Center in Grover Beach on Oct. 28. From 5 to 8 p.m., enjoy carnival games, free hot dogs, Ballooney the Clown and more. Kids ages six and under can bring their decorated or carved pumpkins for the pumpkin contest! Admission is free.
  • On Oct. 29, head to Pismo Beach Pier for Pumpkins on the Pier. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., kids 12 and under can participate in Halloween-themed activities, such as pumpkin decorating, costume contests, games, crafts and bounce houses. Be one of the first there and grab one of the 600 pumpkins that are given out! Trick-or-treating will take place at downtown businesses from 12 to 2 p.m. There will be an adult costume contest as well, so make sure the whole family is dressed in costume!
  • Also on Oct. 29, you can bring the family to Zoo Boo at Charles Paddock Zoo in Atascadero from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy carnival games, Halloween activities, a haunted house and tricks and treats. Everyone is encouraged to dress in costume and to bring reusable bags for candy. Cost is $10, $9 for zoo members and free for kids ages two and under.
  • Bring the whole family to a Safe & Fun Halloween in Paso Robles on Oct. 31 from 4 to 7 p.m.! Kids can dress in costume and go trick-or-treating at all of the downtown businesses. There will also be a carved pumpkin contest, so bring your pumpkin! Bring your camera as well, for photo ops with witches. Throughout the evening, enjoy live performances and a barbecue.
  • The 3rd Annual Trick or Treat will take place in Morro Bay on Oct. 31. Kids in eighth grade and younger can enjoy trick-or-treating at local businesses from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Pick up a map of which businesses to go to at Grandma’s Frozen Yogurt. Then enjoy a parade at 5 p.m., along with a costume contest with prizes.
  • Looking for some adult fun this holiday season? The Howl Halloween Party + Costume Contest takes place on Halloween, Oct. 31. Head to Luna Red from 7 to 10 p.m. for live music by the Turkey Buzzards, small bites, and a costume contest with tons of great prizes from local businesses! Cost is $25.

Whether you celebrate in Monterey County or SLO County, enjoy this Halloween season with these lists of fun activities! When ready to accomplish your Central Coast real estate market goals, I am a Central Coast real estate agent, ready and willing to help you with all of your real estate needs.
