SLO County Real Estate
Enjoy 4th of July in SLO County!

Fourth of July is coming up this weekend in Central California! As such, there are tons of festive, patriotic events and activities occurring all over the SLO County area. As your Central California real estate agent, I’ve put together a 4th of July guide for you. Mark your calendars and make the most of the holiday weekend!

  • Morro Bay will celebrate Independence Day with Art in the Park, a free festival centered around art. Watch art being created in action, and purchase art to take home as well. Funds earned benefit SLO County high school art classes. This takes place July 3 through July 5 at Morro Bay City Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
  • Morro Bay will also host Morro Bay‘s Family Funday on July 4, a family-friendly, alcohol-free event at Tidelands Park! Enjoy a traditional picnic, a skateboard race, a bike parade, a flag ceremony, live music, old-fashioned lawn games and more. It runs from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and you can stop by at any point during that time.
  • Templeton celebrates with a 4th of July Parade, which begins at 10 a.m. on July 4. It runs along Main Street and Crocker Street, so arrive early to get a good viewing spot. Afterward, head to Templeton Community Park for an awards ceremony, food, beer and wine, entertainment, music, fun and games. Art and craft vendors will be there until 3 p.m.
  • Arroyo Grande will celebrate with a 4th of July Village Summer Concert! Hot dogs, lemonade and ice cream will be served, local shops and museums will be open, and The Village Band will perform live, patriotic music at Rotary Bandstand at Heritage Square Park. The concert begins at 1 p.m. and is free to attend!
  • Pismo Beach celebrates with a 4th of July VIP Fireworks Party! This sophisticated party takes place at SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel from 6 to 10 p.m. and costs $65 per person. It includes dinner, drinks, entertainment and a premier seat for the Pismo Beach fireworks display from the RoofTop Terrace.
  • In Pismo Beach, you can also choose to watch the fireworks from the pier. VIP tickets for that cost $25 and can be purchased at 581 Dolliver. Or, you can watch the fireworks for free from wherever you can find a good spot! Music, food and arts and crafts will take place all day, beginning at 10 a.m., and the fireworks will take place at 9 p.m.
  • Paso Robles will celebrate with indoor s’mores at Robert Hall Winery from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 4! Enjoy wine tasting and decide which wine pairs best with s’mores. They will also have wine discounts all weekend. Cost is $10, which includes wine tasting and s’mores.
  • Avila Beach celebrates July 4th with a pancake breakfast and doggie parade! Head to the Avila Beach Community Center for pancakes at 8 a.m., and then walk with your dog in the parade at 11:30 a.m. Breakfast costs $5, or $2.50 for kids under age six. Pre-register for the doggie parade, or register that morning for a suggested $5 donation.
