3 Noteworthy Wine Events Coming Up In Central California!

Central California Events
Wine Events in Central California

The Central California wine region has events throughout the year. Sometimes, they are big noteworthy events that bring lots of different wineries together for one exciting day or weekend, and people purchase tickets and look forward to it months in advance.  Other times, the individual wineries in the area host their own events on a smaller scale. These events take place throughout the week and on every weekend.  There is always something going on somewhere!

Today, as your Central California real estate agent, I’d like to share some of the big wine events that are coming up. Mark your calendars, because you are not going to want to miss these!

1.  The Paso Robles Rhone Rangers are kicking off the 2015 Varietal Night Series on Tuesday, March 10 at Calcareous Vineyard! Over 20 wineries will be pouring red Rhone blends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Cost is only $25. This is a great chance to try this popular, ever-growing wine blend from the area, along with small bites and artisan cheese. An educational table and live music will also be included.

2.  Vintage Paso: Zinfandel Weekend is coming up in Paso Robles on March 20 through 22! New this year is Zinposium, which includes two seminars about Zinfandel on March 20 and 21. Then, create your own itinerary for Zinfandel Weekend by picking and choosing events at more than 120 wineries in the area! These include chocolate and wine pairings, winemaker dinners, vineyard tours, relaxing barbecues, barrel tastings, live music and much more.

3.  The 7th Annual Wine 4 Paws fundraiser is coming up on April 25 and 26. Over 60 wineries throughout SLO County will participate in this local wine event, with funds raised going to Woods Humane Society. You can purchase tickets ahead of time or at the event. Print a map and passport from the website, or pick one up at a participating winery, and if you help generate a donation, you’ll get your passport stamped and be entered into a raffle.

In my next blog post, I’ll share some of the smaller events coming up at the individual wineries. If you’re new to the area, you can see just how many opportunities you have to get out, socialize, enjoy live music, try new wines and meet new people.
