Have you made reservations for New Year’s Eve yet in Central California? Time is running out! To help you plan, as your Central California real estate agent, I have summed up some of the best options you have around Monterey County. In my last blog post, I shared NYE options in SLO County. Choose one that suits your fancy and make you reservation!

First Night Monterey – This is the biggest, citywide, family-friendly event around! Over 30 venues across Monterey will host live performances, live music and activities for adults and children. The event runs from 3 p.m. through midnight. Kids’ events include face painting, henna tattoo artists, puppet art theater, folk music, magic shows and more. The Grand Finale starts at 11:15 p.m. For more details, check out this previous blog post.

Big Sur Roadhouse – Executive Chef Brendan Esons will cook up a New Year’s Eve dinner for guests at 5:30 p.m. Finish 2015 with a glass of champagne, seasonal appetizers, salads, soups and special entrees. From there, head to Fernwood Tavern for the New Year’s Bash that begins at 10 p.m.

MY Museum – Join in on this family-friendly New Year’s Eve party! It’ll include crafts, noisemakers, 2016 calendars, face painting, tasty treats, silly hats and a visit from the Noon Year’s Eve Fairy. At noon, the MY Museum Noon Year’s Eve ball will drop! Tickets are free for members and $10 for non-members.

Bernardus Lodge – Dine in Carmel Valley at the first seating from 5 to 6 p.m. or at the second from 8 to 9 p.m. You’ll enjoy sustainable sourced, local and organic produce and naturally raised meats, served as special New Year’s Eve creations by Chef Cal Stamenov. First seating costs $125. Second seating is six courses and costs $175.

Monterey Bay Aquarium – Bring the kids for a sleepover at the aquarium on New Year’s Eve! Enjoy a full night of family activities and celebrations, including a sundae bar. Then wake up on New Year’s Day to enjoy a continental breakfast and a wildlife watch with naturalists at the Great Tide Pool deck. Cost is $125 per person.

The Inn at Spanish Bay – If you’re looking for a pricey, yet unique experience for New Year’s Eve, this is where to ring in the New Year in Pebble Beach.
