Where to holiday shop in SLO County

As you check off gifts for your loved ones this holiday season, I’d like to suggest that you shop local as often as possible on the Central Coast! Attending local craft fairs and holiday events allows you to support local crafters and businesses that rely on your support. Plus, it’s a great way to provide your loved ones with unique, one-of-a-kind gifts from SLO County that they won’t find elsewhere.

As your SLO County real estate agent, I’ve put together a list of upcoming events where you can shop among local crafters, artists and businesses. Mark your calendar and invite your friends:

  • Tomorrow, stop by the Holidays at The Apple Farm for Diva Night! From 6 to 9 p.m., you can enjoy 35 percent off retail items, along with free gift wrapping and free chocolate and champagne tasting! You’ll never have so much fun shopping. All season long, gift items from The Apple Farm Inn include custom gift baskets, free ornaments with all gift shop purchases, and seasonal selections of holiday treats, party trays and centerpieces.
  • Another fun place to shop this holiday season is Madonna Inn. Their Gift Shop is known for their colorful goblets that you can buy individually or by set. You can also find toys, games and outfits for your little ones, water gear for Lake Nacimiento this coming season, and much more. They also have a boutique and a wine shop. Enjoy the elaborate holiday decorations throughout Madonna Inn when you shop!
  • The Annual Winter Faire & Juried Crafts Show is taking place at Morro Bay Art Center now through Dec. 23, noon to 4 p.m. daily. Stop by and shop among some of the finest artworks on the Central Coast! Great for homeowners, new and old, who want to spruce up their SLO County home décor. You’ll find paintings, photography, fine crafts and more, in traditional and contemporary style.
  • The Cayucos Christmas Open House will take place Dec. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. Shop all along Ocean Avenue in Cayucos, with free trolley and carriage rides to rest your tired shopping feet! Local merchants will be offering great shopping deals. You can also enjoy street carolers and refreshments while you shop. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be expecting visitors in their Victorian home next to the Christmas tree.
  • You can stop by the Cambria Pines Lodge anytime from now through Dec. 23 for the Cambria Christmas Market! Shop among the vendors that include Lavender Oaks Farm, loaded with lavender-based products and wildflower honey, handcrafted vintage items from Simplify, nostalgic baked goods from Allocco’s Bakery, handcrafted wood creations, hand-knit scarves and so much more.

You can purchase one unique gift for each person on your list, or you could put together gift baskets with an assortment of locally made Central Coast gifts! The options are endless when it comes to our local artists and crafters, and the local businesses that line our Main Streets.

Enjoy shopping this holiday season in SLO County, and when ready to accomplish your SLO County real estate market goals, don’t hesitate to contact me! I am your Central Coast real estate agent, ready to help as soon as you need me.
