Smoking Ban proposed for county parks is blessed by Parks Commission

Smoking could be banned in all public areas of county parks except in designated smoking areas under a proposed prohibition that earned a county Parks Commission recommendation last week.

Under the proposal presented to the commission by county health department staff on Thursday, Manzanita and Jacks Peak parks would be completely smoke-free, while smoking would be limited to designated areas at Royal Oaks, Toro, Laguna Seca, and San Lorenzo parks, and Lake Nacimiento and Lake San Antonio.
