Cal-Fire has set up an information center at the Oak Shores clubhouse and posts the most updated information from their morning briefings every morning! This map represents the area that the fire is currently burning. Contrary to reports on social media, the fire HAS NOT jumped the lake, and Oak Shores is not under evacuation orders of any type. Strike teams are AGRESSIVELY working on the area that is closest to the lake, in the areas that would jump the lake or spread into the narrows area. The area that is circled on the map represents the area where the fire grew overnight.
Sheriffs and strike teams are staging in Oak Shores, assessing the situation. They are using the Oak Shores Clubhouse to rest and eat. If Oak Shores is being evacuated, rest assured, the Sheriffs, Fire Department and staff will come door to door and will be alerting the Community.

CAL FIRE Incident Management Team 2 is working collaboratively with PG&E to assess damage and restore services in affected areas. A damage assessment has been assigned to the incident. Tonight, firefighters will continue constructing containment lines while strengthening and securing control lines. Additional Information: With summer weather and extreme drought conditions, we are asking everyone to continue to use caution, “one less spark – one less wildfire.” |
