Here in Central California, there is never a dull moment. There are always fun events and activities taking place, no matter what time of year it is. Spring is no exception! This week in SLO County, you can expect 60-degree temps, which are perfect for enjoying the outdoors. As your Central California real estate agent, I’d like to fill you in on some of the upcoming events around the area.
Pull out your planner and mark down these fun and exciting events coming up in SLO County:
1. The 11th annual Taste of Pismo is coming up this Saturday, April 25 from noon to 4 p.m.! Tickets cost $50 or $25 for designated drivers. Head to Dinosaur Caves Park in Pismo Beach to try an array of food, wine and beer from local restaurants, wineries and breweries.
2. Wine, Waves and Beyond events are coming up all around SLO County from April 29 to May 3! From winemaker’s dinners and the Barrel to Barrel grand tasting event, to the Surf Contest and the VW Classic and Vintage Display, there is an event for everyone to enjoy.
3. The 3rd Annual Taste of Templeton takes place on May 2 from 1 to 5 p.m.! Tickets cost $35 ahead of time and $40 at the door. Tickets include wine tasting, a souvenir glass, food samples and live music by Jim Sweetwater and Captain Nasty. At the event, enjoy tasting not only food and wine, but also olive oils and desserts. There will be lifestyle booths too, so you can see what Central California living is all about!
4. Also on May 2 is the CABS of Distinction event at River Oaks Hot Springs in Paso Robles! This event is a celebration of Cabernet Sauvignon and Red Bordeaux Varietals. To celebrate, you can sip over 75 different wines in these categories, while also talking face-to-face with the winemakers. General admission is at 2 p.m. and tickets cost $65. This includes a cheese and charcuterie plate.
5. Before you know it, the 33rd Annual Paso Robles Wine Festival will arrive! From May 14 to May 17, you can enjoy a slew of events! There is the Grand Tasting event in Downtown City Park, where over 60 wineries come together to showcase their wines. There are also educational seminars, winemaker dinners and 140 events going on at wineries and vineyards in Paso Robles.
