The 4th of July holiday is coming up one week from today! There are plenty of places to enjoy festivals, family fun, cold beverages and fireworks next week. To help you plan, as your Central Coast real estate agent, I’ve put together a list of what you’ll find in SLO County.
Lake Nacimiento – Every holiday is a popular one at Lake Naci, and the 4th of July lands right in the middle of the hot summer season! Prepare for crowds while enjoying a day of boating, swimming, fishing, camping, barbecuing, you name it. It’s the perfect place to spend the holiday!
Oak Shores – The Oak Shores Clubhouse is hosting a Pancake Breakfast on the 4th of July, from 8:30 to 10 a.m., or until the food is gone! Cost is $7 per person or $5 for kids under age 12. Bloody Mary’s and Mimosas will be available for $3 for the adults! This community gathering is a great way to start your holiday off.
Paso Robles – Paso Pops is moving to the Paso Robles Event Center this year! Gates open at 4 p.m., show starts at 8 p.m. Enjoy food, beer, family-friendly activities, live music and fireworks! Be sure to purchase tickets ahead of time. The San Luis Obispo Symphony will headline the show with patriotic music. General admission tickets cost $20.
Pismo Beach – The Pismo Beach July 4th Celebration will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Pismo Beach Pier. Admission is free to enjoy music, vendors and fireworks. For VIP seating on the pier, which includes dinner and snacks, purchase tickets ahead of time.
Cambria – 4th of July Picnic in the Park and Fireworks is back in Cambria! Head to Shamel Park for an old-fashioned fun day of food, live music, dancing, prizes, bounce houses, swimming, face painting, kids games, pie eating contest and more. The day will conclude with fireworks!
Atascadero – 4th of July Bluegrass Freedom Festival will take place at Atascadero Lake Park from 4 to 8 p.m. Free admission to enjoy boat races, bounce houses, games, barbecue, beer, wine and more. Snap Jackson & the Knock on Wood Players will perform live.
Templeton – 4th of July Celebration in the Park takes place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. The day begins with a Pancake Breakfast at the Templeton Fire Department, followed by a hometown parade, and then live music, food trucks, booths, activities, bounce houses, beer and more in Templeton Park.
Morro Bay – Family Fun Day offers up all sorts of events! The day includes a Skateboard Race, a Bike Parade, a Paddle Parade, a Kid’s Carnival, an Opening Flag Ceremony, live music and more. Boat tours will be available to go see the Cayucos fireworks show.
