Jim is originally from Sacramento, California. His parents moved their family to the San Gabriel Valley in 1964 where he lived until moving to the central coast of California in 1985. He began his involvement in real estate working in construction fresh out of high school. In 1985, wanting to escape the crowded city life, he moved his family to the beautiful Los Osos/Morro Bay area. There he started his own contracting business specializing in home repair and service. Working closely with home owners helped prepare Jim “from the ground up” in learning the real estate business. In the mid nineties Jim worked in real estate and property management with Pedersen Realty and Financial Services serving clients, owners and tenants while maintaining his contracting business.

Jim became acquainted with the community of Oak Shores in 1989, when he began his search for property for himself in the Lake Nacimiento area. While driving around trying to find access to the lake, he came across Oak Shores and Oak Shores Realty. The community tour was all it took for him to fall in love with the hills, oak trees and beautiful Lake Nacimiento. Soon after that he purchased his lot in Oak Shores. Sitting on top of the hill gazing across the horizon he dreamed of being able to enjoy weekends in his own Oak Shores home. In 2002 that dream became a reality when Jim purchased his home and immediately began spending most of his spare time at Oak Shores. Sharing his love of the community and the lake with his three children, extended family and friends is one of his greatest pleasures.

Jim has worked with real estate agents, property managers, homeowners and renters for over twenty years helping to make their homes comfortable places to live. Joining Oak Shores Realty enables him to continue that high level of service in a professional atmosphere convenient to the community.
