Here’s a few popular activities to enjoy:

• Water Sports – Have you tried your luck on water skis or a wakeboard? Lake Nacimiento has miles of inlets and coves, open bays and winding rivers, making it ideal for boats to spread out and cruise around turns! This is why it’s so popular for waterskiing, fly-boarding, wakeboarding, wake surfing, paddle boarding, tubing, jet skiing and more. • Fishing – If water sports are a little too wild for your liking, you might be more of a fishing fan. There’s nothing better than heading out to the lake early in the morning, or late into the evening, and catching a sunrise or sunset while relaxing in your fishing boat and seeing what you catch. Lake Nacimiento is the only lake in California stocked with white bass, and you’ll also find largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill and crappie, carp and catfish. Head to an inlet and enjoy some quiet places to cast your line!
• Boating – Even if you’re not pulling skis or tubes on the end of your boat, you can still cruise out on the lake any time you wish! All types of boats are popular on Lake Nacimiento, from pontoon boats and speed boats, to kayaks and canoes, so just pick the one that best suits you. Pack some sandwiches, water and ice cold beverages, and make a day of it, cruising around the pristine waters, and jumping off the boat for a swim from time to time to cool off in the water!
• Community Activities – Local communities that surround Lake Nacimiento offer tons of fun, family-friendly activities at the lake all summer long! For example, at Oak Shores, there are Friday Night Pontoon Boat Nights, where you head out on a boat and cruise with your neighbors!
