As your Central Coast real estate agent, I am here to fill you in on fun and exciting events taking place in and around San Luis Obispo County and Monterey County! My last couple blog posts have been about the California Mid-State Fair taking place in Paso Robles, so today, let’s talk about all the fun events and activities taking place in Monterey County right now.
Mark your calendar for these ongoing events:
- Carmel Bach Festival began July 15 and runs until July 29. This event has been taking place for 80 years! Musicians from all around the world visit various venues around Carmel-by-the-Sea to perform during this festival, including the Sunset Center, Carmel Mission Basilica, Church in the Forest and more. You can find a full calendar of performances and ticket info on the festival website.
- California Rodeo Salinas begins July 20 and runs through July 23! Top cowboys and cowgirls travel to Salinas to compete at the Salinas Sports Complex during this event. General admission is $14 for adults and $7 for kids. Aside from the rodeo, you can also enjoy a kid’s corral, shopping, food booths, saloons, cantinas, motorcycle jumpers, bareback riders and more.
- Evenings by the Bay take place at the Monterey Bay Aquarium each weekend of summer, so upcoming dates include July 21-22, July 28-29 and so on, through Sept. 2. From 6 to 8 p.m., enjoy extended hours along with sustainable food, wine tastings, specials programs, live music and more, while you hang out with your favorite marine animals. This is included with general admission on those days!
- If you love yoga, the outdoors, wine or all three, you’ll love Yoga in the Vines! This takes place at Folktale Winery in Carmel every Saturday morning, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $20 for a 90-minute balanced flow class. Bring your own mat and enjoy the views of Rose vineyards, and then stick around afterward for a complimentary glass of Folktale wine! This is a great place to meet others in the community.
