Are you ready to rock out this holiday season in SLO County? You’ve got lots of events and activities to choose from! As your SLO County real estate agent, I’d like to fill you in on some upcoming holiday events, so you don’t miss a beat of the festive action.
1. Rock the Holidays in Morro Bay is a series of holiday events taking place all month long. The Annual Winter Faire takes place through Dec. 28 at Art Center Morro Bay and is an excellent outlet for you to do holiday shopping among paintings, prints, sculptures and more for art enthusiasts in your life. Dec. 12, stop into Calvary Lutheran Church to see over 250 nativity sets from around the world. Dec. 14-16, enjoy the Caroling Cops as Santa hands out gifts to kids. 2. Germany is famous for their German Christmas Markets. If you can’t make it halfway across the world to check one out, head to Cambria instead for the 4th Annual Cambria Christmas Market, which takes on the style of a German market! Enjoy local food and drink, along with brats and German fare, and Gluhwein, a traditional German hot spiced wine. This takes place at the Cambria Pines Lodge from 5 to 9 p.m., through Dec. 23.
3. SLO Little Theatre presents their second annual holiday production of A Christmas Story, based on the popular motion picture. Watch as little Ralphie Parker spends the holiday season with his family and hopes for a BB gun for Christmas. Performances run through Dec. 20 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets cost between $15 and $33.
4. Bring your family and friends to the 29th Annual Vine Street Victorian Showcase in Paso Robles on Dec. 12. Head to Vine Street and enjoy meeting Mr. and Mrs. Clause, the Snow Queen, Ebenezer Scrooge and more. From 6 to 9 p.m., there will be caroling, floats, entertainers, open houses, live music, free cookies and hot chocolate, cotton candy and more.
5. Gather the family and attend the 25th Annual Victorian Teddy Bear Tea at the Paso Robles Park Ballroom on Dec. 19! Children can bring their favorite teddy bears to the Teddy Bear Tea, where everyone in attendance can enjoy tea, juice, cookies and more from 2 to 4 p.m. Seating is limited, so grab your tickets! Cost is $8 for kids under 12 and $15 for adults.
