5 Activities to Enjoy This Weekend in Central California!

Central California Activities
Visit Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove

This stretch between Halloween and Thanksgiving is anything but dull here in Central California. The holiday events are trickling in, but there are plenty of other local events and activities to keep you busy with in the meantime. As your Central California real estate agent, I’d like to fill you in on some!

1.  Lake Nacimiento. The lake is here for you year-round! You can visit Lake Nacimiento any season of the year. The weather is still warm enough to enjoy fishing, boating, hiking, camping and picnicking. The fish are biting well this time of year, and the crowds are much smaller. Take advantage of this peaceful season at the lake!

2.  Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove. Monarch season is November through February, so Butterfly Grove just reopened on Nov. 1 in Pismo Beach! You can enjoy daily talks from volunteer docents while viewing thousands of vibrant orange and black Monarch Butterflies. The Docent Trailer is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

3.  Harvest on the Coast. SLO Wine Country presents Harvest on the Coast this weekend, Nov. 7-9. The Grand Tasting and Auction takes place Nov. 8 at Avila Beach Resort in Avila Beach and features wine tasting, artisan foods, live music, an auction and more. There are also festivities throughout the weekend, such as a winemaker dinner, live auction lots and open houses.

4.  Elegant Evening Downtown. This Saturday, Nov. 8, head to Paso Robles for an Elegant Evening Downtown! Hopefully you’re already in the mood for the holidays, because from 5 to 8 p.m., you can munch and sip on fine hors d’oeuvres, wine and refreshments while enjoying twinkling lights, dancers, quartets, choirs, and dancers from Class Act Dance Studio acting as live mannequins inside shop windows. There will also be carriage rides and an evening gala and concert at the Paso Robles Inn!

5.  Surfboard Art Festival. This takes place all month long in Morro Bay. You can go view surfboard art creations displayed publicly throughout Morro Bay from now through Nov. 28. Then on Nov. 29, head to Fish Bonez for the Surfboard Art Festival Gala Auction from 2 to 5 p.m. You could bring one of the art creations home! Proceeds support Project Surf Camp and Morro Bay in Bloom.

Whether you go fishing, admire butterflies, drink wine, or stroll festive streets at night or artsy streets during the day, I hope you enjoy your weekend in Central California! As your Central California real estate agent, I am always here and ready to help you buy a Central California home or sell your Central California home. Just contact me!
